Extension and Outreach Services

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides an advisory service for farms daily, whereby approximately ten clients are advised on animal health management issues like deworming, vaccination, management related risk factors, or other animal health issues. It also performs an annual routine rabies awareness and vaccination program. Expert veterinary services are delivered directly to farms through our ambulatory services, reaching livestock on the outskirts of the hospital. Additionally, the hospital's veterinary support extends to small-scale dairy units in the vicinity of the university campus at BAU.
